The end of the Rebel Army was predictable, without any surprises. The entire rebel army was completely wiped out by the Imperial Army under Palpatine's scheme, not even a trace remained. The high-level rebel officers were also captured in this battle, and the rule of the Galactic Empire was greatly stabilized again. The next step was to clear away the remnants of the rebel forces.
Palpatine was not worried about this. He was an exceptional ambitious figure, as demonstrated in "Star Wars: The Prequel," when necessary, Palpatine would also appear very gentle and charitable — this was, of course, very useful for his upcoming plans.
