When Shun met the Aquasphere, the sphere itself was already on its dormant state, but after inquiring Merlin told him that before the Aquasphere became dormant, it was a disaster that noone had ever seen before.
The weather constantly rained until floods appear, the ground became soft, tsunami ensues, whirlpool was constant. The was the previous condition of the kingdom of Avalon before everything was settled and as if the enviroment wasn't enough, water based monsters also roam the area around the Aquasphere.
Thanks to the efforts of their past heroes, they were able to quell the danger and develop the land to what they know now.
As for Lorius when he arrived at the place where the Ventus mark reside, all he saw was a small village isolated from the world and the thing that isolated them was none other than the wind which formed a tornado around the village.
Based on his story he also had to fought tooth and nail in order to acquire the Ventus mark.
If such stories were true that Shun can assume that the next pillar of power of earth down on the south to be on the same condition. As for the reason why he knew what type of pillar of power down onthe south, was because of some stories of adventurers regarding the mysterious rocky formation on another kingdom's territory. From there it can be deduced that the pillar of power is related to earth.
It's been days since Shun has reinstated his status, during those times he had joined other adventure of Alex and Misha together with Sephiria. With the four of them, any dangerous mission was a breeze.
With such missions he now has enough points and reputation to raise his rank from E-rank to D-rank. As for sephiria she rose from F-rank to E-rank. With such reputations undergoing dangerous zones in the kingdom beyond ruric town.
To be precise the rank are as follows.
Alex (B-rank)
Misha (B-rank)
Shun (D-rank)
Sephiria (E-rank)
While raising their ranks, Shun also has to prepare for items that can increase their survivability against the earth type enemies down on the south.
Earth-type monsters are formidable primarily because of their immense physical durability, siege-like offensive power, and ability to control the battlefield. Rather than relying on speed, they use raw mass and defense to overwhelm opponents.
The most defining trait of earth monsters is their high resistance to physical attacks. Their bodies are often composed of solid rock, hardened clay, or compacted minerals.
Standard blades, arrows, and blunt weapons are notoriously ineffective. They do not bleed or suffer from critical wounds like organic creatures. They lack respiratory, circulatory, or nervous systems, rendering them completely immune to poisons, diseases, and mind-altering effects.
Because earth monsters move the very ground itself, they are capable of massive area-of-effect destruction.
They can generate localized earthquakes, trigger avalanches, or cause fissures to open beneath a target's feet. They excel in ranged combat by hurling high-velocity boulders or jagged spikes that can shatter fortifications. Their sheer muscular density or magical mass allows them to generate crushing forces that can flatten armor and masonry effortlessly.
Earth monsters can physically manipulate the environment to restrict movement or create traps.
They can raise stone walls to block escape, create mud pits to ensnare targets, or camouflage themselves within the landscape to launch surprise ambushes. In many mythologies, earth monsters draw power directly from the ground beneath them, making them nearly impossible to exhaust and allowing them to regenerate damage by absorbing surrounding soil and stone.
The only way he can increase their survivability against such opponents is to equip everyone aside from Axel with enchanted armor. For basic armor, iron armor or leather armor is enough. For the enchantment, they will need the warlord stone that can be looted from a minotaur corpse in order tk increase their durability and physical resistance for about 150%.
Thankfully Shun knew exactly where to find an available minotaur for farming. If his memory serves him right, then that minotaur would still be there. Unfortunately a problem arose and the problem stems from the very dungeon where the minotaur reside.
"What do you mean we can't casually enter the dungeon where the minotaur boss reside? Can't you do anything about it Lana? We already defeated it once before you know" pleaded by Shun as he faced Lana.
"Its not like I don't want to approve your request Shun, it's just that the circumstances back then is different now"
"How different?" Asked by Shun
"Another dungeon was formed inside the dungeon where the minotaur boss reside, basically that dungeon became a double dungeon... ever since that double dungeon was formed the rank of that dungeon sore from simply D-rank dungeon to S-rank dungeon... it is basically dangerous especially to you"
"Especially to me? Are you referring to my D-rank status? Both of us know that my rank doesn't truly showcase my actual strength right? I am basically stronger than A-rank"
"That may be so, but unless you can get special permission from the guild master, there's no other choice"
"Permission from the guild master? That's easy! Where is he now?"
"Away on a business trip to other adventurers guild branch"
"You've got to be kidding me!"
As Shun wondered on what to do, Lana saw his expression and finally gave a suggestion.
"I hate it when you make that frustrated face, alright how about this... I'll allow you to enter that dungeon but in exchange you got to bring something from the double dungeon and destroy it"
"What? But that would mean..."
"Yes! Upon destroying the double dungeon, that dungeon would revert back to its original rank difficulty"
"Alright! Your the best Lana"
"Alright! Fine! Fine! It's better if that dungeon return back to normal in order to save many lives... however I'm staking my neck and job for this, if anyone knows about this deal, I would make sure that I'm not the only one that will lose its job and had its reputation damaged"
"Ahahaha! Such harsh words coming from you Lana, no worries you can trust me to accomplish this task, who knows you might get promoted instead"
With that both Shun and Lana gave a cheeky smile at each other.
