"How can you tell what realm they are at."
"I can see energy but it might be better for you to focus on the group in front of you."
Shadow turned back to look at them head on. The two behind him didn't look like they took as much pleasure as the boy in front of him.
"Hey what if we tried to talk this out instead of fight. Maybe we got off on the wrong foot?"
"Nope I would say we understand each other perfectly? You are the bottom feeder prince who needs to be taught a lesson."
Just like that the boy in the front jumped at shadow with a kick, he had dodged the attack but was caught off guard by the girl that had somehow appeared behind him and hit him with a fireball. The thin layer of mana protected him from as much damage as it could possible.
"Should I give you power now?"
"If anyone comes by will they be able to tell I have a demon?"
"If they have experience I would believe so but you won't be able to beat them at all using just your power."
"It's not worth it to use you if it's not life and death. Just like you said I need some of my own trump cards to hide. You are one of them. Even if I lose they won't kill me because of my position. Maybe the better route would be retreating into my space."
Shadow was trying to use the spell his teacher had taught him while dodging attacks from both the boy and the girl. They had landed a few hits which at this time left his clothes in bad condition. Some of it was torn while other pieces singed. Shadow could tell something was wrong when his space wouldn't open.
"Oh seeing your face I can tell you were trying to escape. To bad for you my father works for the ministry of defense. So we know your abilities. Especially the fact that you are a space magic user. So of course we bought an artifact to make sure you wouldn't run the next time we got you. You only have been fighting me and her. How will you do between two martial artist and a magician?!"

Tophson had been in the library for days looking for information that might be able to help his daughter. He had mostly been going through the first and third floors. Hoping to maybe find an artifact or enchantment that might help his daughter. The things he did see that might be of use were in myth filled stories or the history of the kingdom. The latter were usually already lost, destroyed or in the kingdoms armory. And he knew that if they hadn't already been used to save her that meant they would never be used.
"How do I keep going with no hope in sight. I can't just give up. She's waiting for me to pull off a miracle I can feel it." He had sighed to himself. He hasn't slept in two days. The only reason it had not been more was because they shut down the 24 hour library once a week. He was exhausted but he figured he should check on his disciple before he went home.
He was just going to use his space magic but he felt the walk there was much needed. So to his surprise when he had saw shadow fighting 3 academy students. He could tell from the uninformed they wore that they were second year students. He believed they were just going in to second year from the way that they were moving during this battle. Shadow was definitely losing but he was also keeping up with a group that was stronger than him.
For every eight hits that they got he would get one on them that seemed to do more damage. He could tell he had mana over a protective aura which was effective but still took a lot of energy to maintain and it showed on shadows face. He was definitely looking drained and in pain.
"That's enough!" Tophson had instantly appeared between shadow and his attackers. "I don't remember asking for you to to test my disciple. If you feel the need to fight do it amongst yourself. The next time you try something kid I will make sure to report it to the queen that you have tried to kill one of her sons. This time you do not have Kera to defend you and will surely have a punishment extended to your family. Now leave also the boy behind you may want to see a doctor about his arm."
"What do you mean I'm fi....!!"
He had appeared and grabbed his arm while snapping it as easy as breaking a small stick.
The bone could be seen while blood was spurting out. The kid had fainted and was left on the ground while shadow and Tophson had left the children quickly appearing in his room.
"Before you say anything master I was only trying to learn a couple spells and try...."
"I wasn't gonna ridicule you or anything. I'm actually very proud that you could fight so many stronger opponents and still somehow hold your own. Your technique so far is pretty good but definitely needs work. Other than that, you still amaze me with your talent. It's funny to think that someone so weak has risen so fast. Of course it'll be nothing to most skilled fighters that's on the same level as you but you definitely are on the right track. How did you already reach novice realm for both your fighting and magic."
"I just trained to take in both energy's at the same time master." Shadow had looked at him like it was common sense.
"You don't feel any pain or maybe been throwing up blood?"
"No master"
"Do you realize how rare that is most die from doing it and others hurt their body to the point of never taking in energy again. I only know of two has made it possible to do so but now a third. I can't just wait to see how you turn out."
