Chapter 355 - Chapter 333: Huo Yuhao vs Shrek Academy(1)

"What's happening in the inner courtyard?!"

"Was that a scream? D-Did it come from the Golden Tree!?"

"We're under attack! Elders and teachers above Soul Douluo cultivation must head over to Sea God Island! The others help evacuate the students and other staff members off campus—"

A few moments after the Golden Tree had let out an ear piercing screech, the entire Shrek Academy mobilized with appropriate procedure. They were invaded by an elite group of Evil Soul Masters not too long ago so their response to the situation was swift and immediate.

In the time a stick of incense was halfway burnt, almost all of the elders and staff members of Shrek Academy had already arrived before the Ancient Golden Tree.

However, most of them looked...strange. Especially because of a trident mark in between their eyes!

And leading them all were Xuan Zi and Dai Hao. Both of them waiting patiently for the chance to investigate the Ancient Golden Tree, but the screech it released contained immense spiritual power that scatters one's spiritual power when trying to pry into it.

"I still can't understand what's happening. My connection to the Ancient Golden Tree has been severed, I can't communicate with Elder Gold!" Xuan Zi narrowed his eyes, he raised his right hand glowing with an earthly glow.

As a Sea God Pavilion Master, he had a special connection with the Ancient Golden Tree; he should have been able to sense and communicate with its spirit instantly.

He turned to Dai Hao and asked, "Your Excellency, can you sense what is happening within the Ancient Golden Tree?"

"Dai Hao" rubbed his chin in deep thought, his mismatched colored eyes gleamed with a cold and calculating look. His red eye contained a strange symbol, similar to a tiger's head, emitting a divine aura.

"Unfortunately, no. My descent upon my descendant's body could only offer me the capabilities of at most Quasi-God level of power—and that's only if I go all out without caring for my descendant's well-being."

Though he could temporarily possess the power of a Class 3 God...but that would lead to the total annihilation of his descendant and losing some of his divine power for a decade. He didn't say it out loud. That kind of trump card was something he would pull if Shrek Academy was on the brink of destruction.

Dai Mubai clenched his fist and said,

"This descendant of mine had only recently broken through Titled Douluo, and his attainment in spiritual power is average at best. The spiritual power that I would need to use in order to pry into the Ancient Golden Tree would fry his brain."

Xuan Zi was surprised to hear that. For in his mind, to anyone else really, that Gods were all powerful. Healing any mortal injury should be as simple as flipping a palm for them!

"Your Excellency, couldn't you use the Ancient Golden Tree's immense life energy...?"

"Dai Hao" shook his head and said, "Even as a God, I have limits to what I can do. Especially since this body has only a mere fraction of my true self. Remember, my divine title is the God of War. I specialize in all matters of war; battles, strategies, killing, duels, soldiers... These are my domain of expertise, but no healing or the plant life. That's Xiao San's expertise.

So for now, remain patient and wait for the right opportunity to strike. This sudden behavior of the Ancient Golden Tree is likely the work of my descendant. Soon, he will show himself to us."

"Understood, Your Excellency. It is truly our honor to have your presence, the great Dai Mubai, grace us in this troubled times," Xuan Zi cupped his fists in reverence.

That's right. This was Dai Mubai, the God of War and the 'boss' of the original Seven Shrek Monsters from ten thousand years ago! Never would anyone would expect for him to send a strand of divine consciousness into his descendant for a divine possession.

He was just helping out with the war preparations and upcoming siege on the Ōtsutsuki Clan Divine Realm when he heard his old third brother's urgent voice transmission.

He had a mission for him on their homeworld.

It was a surprise to Dai Mubai. They were in the middle of preparing for a massive Divine War against powerful outsiders, an event of great importance.

As the God of War, such a conflict would greatly increase his divine power and grant him precious resources. It wouldn't be strange for him to break through and become a First Class God during or after the war!

He'd be able to see his children again with that privilege...

But the mission Tang San was giving him was also important.

The Child of Destiny is planning on destroying the grand plan of evolving the Douluo Star? Wrecking across the entire continent? Leading the fall of the soul master cultivation system? He was also an Evil Soul Master that could summon the undead without any limit?

Moreover, the Child of Destiny was a descendent of his and Zhu Zhuqing?!

Dai Mubai couldn't make up any excuses not to go anymore. If the person causing trouble for his old brother was truly related to his bloodline, he had to act.

Not out of some twisted familial responsibility, but because he did not want to accumulate bad karma.

After all, Tang San was a God King. And God Kings were both beloved and feared by the universe.

Upon their ascension, the universe would try to eliminate them through a terrifying divine tribulation.

Yet once they succeeded, the universe would treat them as its favored children. This status granted immense benefits and protection

If anyone try to endanger them, they would then begin accumulating bad karma without their notice unless they themselves have the power equalling a God King. This invisible karma could manifest in countless ways: sudden misfortunes, weakened luck, or even heavenly backlash during critical moments.

This was especially terrifying for any God, because they were essentially immortal! This bad karma would never disappear unless they either die or became God Kings.

Dai Mubai didn't have the confidence to become a God King. He had no intention of letting such a thing affect him or his lineage, especially with the great Divine War looming.

'Disciplining my unruly descendant shouldn't earn me disciplinary actions by the council, especially since Xiao San was the one who tasked me to do this.'

Besides, this shouldn't take long and he wasn't actually here. He was just using a split part of himself to descend into his descendant.

'But still,' Dai Mubai glanced at the group of elders around him. All of them have the trident mark on their foreheads glowing eerily. 'to go so far as to mind control these people, this descendant of mine is pretty good.'

Dai Mubai didn't look surprise by the actions of Tang San.

A lot of people might be fooled by his gentle and benevolent behavior in the Divine Realm, but only he and the rest of the original Shrek Seven Monsters knew the true him. After all, they had grown up together since they were children.

Tang San had always been ruthless and extremely protective of what he considered "his." Heck, in that one drunken night, he heard that he and Fatty(Ma Hongjun) had set out to "recover" precious resources after failing to buy them in auction, by breaking into a Spirit Hall building and killing a lot of people.

He was a monster to his enemies but a saint to his loved ones. So Dai Mubai wasn't surprised by his schemes. Never would they think that their third brother would try to hurt them.

However, deep in Dai Mubai's heart and mind, he felt as though Tang San had somewhat changed. But he couldn't figure out what had changed...

Unbeknownst to him and the rest of the original Shrek Seven Monsters, even they themselves no longer knew his true self.

Just as they waited patiently, a bright flash of blue light emerged from the Ancient Golden Tree exuding a chilling pressure that caused most of the elders to turn pale white.

"What in the..." Xuan Zi muttered, Dai Mubai narrowed his gaze.

For from that surging blue light, a colossal giant slowly rose.

It was an enormous armored warrior over a hundred meters tall, formed entirely of strange blazing blue energy so dense it appeared almost solid. The giant radiated a tyrannical aura that made the very air tremble.

Its body was covered in majestic yet terrifying strange armor that was unfamiliar to everyone in the Douluo continent. A pair of massive, ethereal wings made of pure energy extended from its back, flickering with cold flames.

In both its hands, it wielded two gigantic swords. One crackling with destructive blue lightning while the other writhed with endless black flames.

It had a demonic head with a long nose and two long, curved horns from its head that had flames flickering from its tips. Its eerie, emotionless yellow eyes made many elders instinctively took several steps back, their souls trembling under the suffocating might.

But Dai Mubai, Xuan Zi, Yan Shaozhe, Cai Mei'er, and other elders who have reached Titled Douluo of cultivation didn't react

Xuan Zi furrowed his brows. He'd seen this kind of blue gigantic avatar before, only, it didn't look so complete and massive. Although he had some doubts, it all dissipated the moment he saw the familiar pair of eyes within that blue giant.

"Huo Yuhao!!"

'So, that's what my descendant looks like...' Dai Mubai paused for a moment, examining this descendant of his.

His expression turned strange and he couldn't help but exclaim,

"The fuck? He doesn't look anything like a Dai or a Zhu! He looks like an Ōtsutsuki!"

Huo Yuhao looked up from within the Susanoo, his gaze enveloped every elder but he quickly focused on Dai Hao.

He grinned, killing intent radiating from his body.

"Was this arranged by you, Life Core? Hahaha. It seems like stalling for time for your recovery wouldn't be so boring after all.

My years of hatred, vengeance, and sorrow...

Today, I'll reap for what you have sowed!"
