Thunder sparkled around Thor as he charged towards me with explosive speed. He swung his hammer and struck when he was a few feet before me.
I swung the ice sword and blocked the attack. Thor went back a few steps and sent Mjolnir flying towards me, and at the same time flew back towards me and punched at my abdomen.
However, I didn't sit around doing nothing while he attacked me. I switched sword arms and blocked the hammer with the sword and the punch with the spikes on my right hand.
Without letting him attack, I raised my right knee and kicked him in the stomach. Then immediately after that, I punched him in the face, which sent him flying.
But that wasn't all. I started running in a circle around him in blinding speed. Because I was too fast, a whirlwind formed.
Thor looked stunned as water started filling up inside the whirlwind and spears made of ice were coming at him. "Elemental prison!" I shouted.
He gritted his teeth and sent a lightning bolt at the whirlwind, which reflected off the water.
"Idiot," I said. The lightning sent electrical power through the water, which had made contact with Thor's skin.
However...
"Did you think that I would be hurt by my own lightning?" he shouted.
"You idiot," I replied, "This wasn't my objective!"
And indeed, it wasn't. My goal was to let the ice spears absorb the thunder, which would be handy against other opponents. I stored those spears away and created new ones.
But before I could attack him again, the ground started shaking. "A tremor?"
It wasn't a tremor; it was a gigantic snake that broke through the ground. The snake was huge, and it even had wings. Were the look of the snake not familiar to me, I would have thought it was a dragon. In fact, snakes evolve into dragons eventually.
It seems our fight has disturbed it, and it chose to come up. I dispelled the Elemental Prison around Thor and said to him, "This is a basilisk, but it seems it has mutated. I suggest we put our differences aside for now, because if it is going to attack, it won't spare any of us."
Thor thought for a moment and nodded. He extended his right arm, and Mjolnir flew from wherever it was to his hand.
Zi, who has long since been hiding, sent me a message through the link we have, "Boss, how can I help you?"
"In this battle, you can't," I replied. "I want you to go to the village and look around to see if there are any other basilisks. If there are, quickly tell me and don't do anything foolish. Also, stay hidden; people don't see Winged Lions every day."
"On it, Boss!" Zi said and went to the village. I looked at Thor and said, "Distract it for me until I find its weak spot."
Thor nodded, and Thunder sparkled around him once again. He flew into the air and started battling against the basilisk.
"Remember, don't kill it! I want to question it first!" I shouted and observed its body.
It was too big, but with all my senses, I was able to cover all of it.
Every time Thor attacked, he would land a heavy blow with Mjolnir, while sending lightning into its body. However, like Thor, it seems that it can't be harmed by thunder.
"Don't send lightning into it! Don't you see that it isn't working?" I shouted. Then, I spotted it. There was a spot just before its tail where there was no scale.
"Got it!" I said and moved quickly with the wind sword in my hand. However, the tail wouldn't stay still, so I had to wait for the perfect moment. When it stayed still for just a moment, I moved at a speed that I hadn't moved at before and stabbed it with the sword.
The basilisk screamed in pain and fell on the ground. I looked at Thor, where he said, "I won't stand in your way, Lord of Ice. I have changed my mind."
"Fine. I am going to take it back to the mansion. Would you like to join me?" I asked, willing to put the previous conflict aside for now.
Thor nodded but stayed silent. I called Zi after reverting to my human state. When he came, I held the basilisk by its tail and teleported with Thor and Zi back to the Mansion of Night.
